Sound Heating and Air Conditioning Inc. came from humble beginnings: one man, our founder Curtis Hood, and his goal to provide unmatched HVAC service throughout the Pugest Sound area. Since then, we’ve grown to a team of 40 people that is known for its work quality and service.

Sound Heating and Air Conditioning was established in 1989 by our founder and owner, Curtis Hood. His goal when he started the company was a lofty one, to build and become the best heating and air conditioning company in the Greater Puget Sound area. Today, with Curtis still at the helm we strive to obtain that goal every day.
From our humble beginnings of one man with a mission, we have grown to a team of 40. Each one of our team members strives to be the best. In our early years we concentrated our efforts on new construction, both residential and commercial. We prided ourselves with the fact that using the system Curtis created, we could guaranty our builders to be on schedule and install a complete heating system in their house in one day, something that NO other heating companies were doing.
Through the years we diversified into other areas of heating and air conditioning, including a 24-hour on-call service department, a hydronic department that will design, install and maintain your heating system. We also have a retro-fit/change-out department with comfort specialists who will come to your home and, with your input, design a new, energy efficient system to replace your current heating and air conditioning system.
